Focus on Funding Week

Focus on Funding Week

14 May 2020 by Tarn Bright in Covid-19 Response.

a special week in association with @FundMyChurch, the Diocese of London Parish Fundraising Team

We know that at this time of massive societal change and lockdown, many churches have told us they’re concerned about funding the vital community work they have been offering for years; many also want to know where to find funding for new emergency responses that have begun due the Covid-19 crisis.

That’s why we have got together with @FundMyChurch, the Diocese of London Parish Fundraising Team to put on a week of activities, focussed entirely on how to help you find the money you need to continue to serve compassionately in Christ’s name.

From Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd May, through the series of online events and advice clinics, we’ll be focussing on equipping local churches to source and apply for funding.

Whether you need funds to continue a much needed ministry, or as you respond to a new need or just where to get grants for the most vulnerable in your parish- this week is for you!

With experts and those on the ground at parish level who’ve walked this road before, we’ll help you navigate the path as to where to find funding for what you are doing and how to make it sustainable. We’ll even offer you support in your applications- we know those forms can be daunting and time consuming.

  • Would you know how to access emergency funding for a family in crisis?

  • What will fundraising look like after lockdown?

  • Would you find a free one to one session with a fundraising expert helpful?

We have 1-hour webinars with experts throughout the week, all detailed on our dedicated events page

But please do book for the sessions you want to attend, via eventbrite or emailing

There are limited places and we envisage they’ll be fully booked

In particular we have a very special offer for the week!

As part of our Focus on Funding week, and our commitment to resourcing churches across the Diocese of London, our guest speakers have kindly offered their time to support you in your fundraising efforts, with a free 30 minute consultation.

So if you are grappling with a complex funding application, a quick chat with one of our experts could be just the ticket.

Or perhaps you are looking to access funds from a particular funding stream for the first time, the advice clinic could help to give you useful insights on how to approach it.

SO: if you’re a church or community project that wants support with funding:

simply email us: to register interest for one of our 30 minute slots for a Pro-Bono Advice Clinic with a fundraiser.
