The terrible situation in Afghanistan that unfolded over the summer has raised the profile of the need for safe and appropriate housing for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.

In response, we are running this in-person relaunch of our Clergy Hosting Scheme. The scheme is run in collaboration with Housing Justice and supports clergy (or anyone with a spare room) in London to provide temporary accommodation for homeless migrants and refugees while their asylum or immigration case is being heard.

The launch event will be a relaxed morning with coffee and pastries, providing the opportunity to hear from Housing Justice and current hosts about how the scheme works, and to ask any questions.

For more information in advance about the scheme you can see our page on this topic here, or contact Pattie Gercke, Compassionate Communities Development Worker.
